With its antiseptic and bacteriostatic properties, honey has a beneficial effect on the skin: it maintains elasticity and moisture thus preventing the aging of skin tissue, the creation of wide pores, it nourishes the epidermis, gives the face a velvety sheen, smoothness and protects it from adverse external influences.

Honey’s usefulness has been known to doctors from ancient times: Hypocrite, Avicenna and others. Ancient Eastern medicine called honey “the golden miracle” that gives beauty and health. In Japanese Pharmacopoeia “Jakusei Honzo”, during the most ancient dynasty Tan, it was claimed that skin color would become flushed through the constant use of honey.

In cosmetics, honey is used both on its own and in a mixture with other bee products or other cosmetic products.
For all those ladies who have decided that their skin could use some more glow, color, softness and elasticity, here are a few tried and tested tips and recipes for masks, creams and other little long-lasting beauty secrets using bee products…
